We are looking to expand our network to individuals in Wheaton who are passionate about:

  • Youth programing in the arts
  • Ongoing Events in the arts
  • Resources in the community

Join us at our first Arts + Culture DuCAP community group meeting

April 23rd, 4:30-5:30 pm

Location: Fairhaven Wealth Management Large Conference Room 104 E. Roosevelt Road, Suite 100 Wheaton, Illinois 60187

A Big thank you to Fairhaven Wealth Management-Check out their art in their cool office while here!

Please note this is not a networking event. Our primary focus will be on providing local youth opportunities within the arts and culture field. While that may be through an opportunity you have available, DuCAP’s goal is to help facilitate our conversation towards all opportunities for youth locally that we may be able to support or others could create too.

We support and invest in the community so they can build and direct youth-driven initiatives! DuCAP partners with communities to assist teens and their families in an effort to improve, strengthen, and enhance community life. In doing so, DuCAP serves as a support tool that uses external resources to strengthen neighborhoods.

During the meeting, we will have time to mingle, share about DuCAP’s goals, then followed by a open discussion on what is happening in the arts and culture field for youth and how we as a community can expand together! Due to the nature of the meeting, we ask that any promotional materials or event flyers that you may have be shared with Hannah (Hannah@ducap.org) and she will share in a follow up email after the meeting to all of the guests.

Arts and Culture could include but is not limited to:

  • Fine Arts, Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media
  • Graphic Design
  • Photography, Film, Videography
  • Dance
  • Theater
  • Music, Vocal, Instrumental
  • Storytelling, Poetry, Literature, Books
  • Woven Arts, Knitting, Crocheting
  • Sculpture, Ceramics, Pottery

We are looking for community members who have a passion for arts in culture, those who may work in those fields, or parents of youth that are involved in arts and culture.

We hope to see you at this meeting! RSVP is not required but helpful!
